Are you an artist, crafter or designer who would like to learn to sell your products online? The Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program may be for you.
Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship is a new program that provides small business training to creative people in underserved communities to help supplement their income and sell their product to new markets. The program uses Etsy’s platform as a real-world learning lab and Madison Public Library’s resources for community education.
Students in our first two clasess - hosted in April and December 2015 - learned the basics of starting and running an online business through Etsy, including pricing, basic accounting, product photography, and marketing. Class instructor Victoria Thompson has over seven years experience in running her Etsy shop, Three Fates Design, and is an instructor at the University of Wisconsin. Discover our students' Etsy shops online or view photos from the class. Former classes were funded by a grant from the Madison Public Library Foundation and a gift by Marvin J. Levy.
