Whether you need space for a small brainstorm session, training sessions with group break out space, meet and mingle cocktail hours or a unique meeting venue central to downtown Madison, the Central Library has space for you.
We book both Rental Groups & Non Rental Groups at Madison Public Library Central.
For 2025 we will begin booking Rentals September 1st, 2024 & for Non Rentals, we will begin booking September 15th, 2024.

Event Space
W. Jerome Frautschi Madison Room
The Madison Room is a unique, airy, and elegant space perfect for ceremonies, receptions, and/or dances. Floor to Ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and showcase downtown Madison views, creating an inviting backdrop for your event.
Madison Community Foundation Community Room
The Community Room features dark gray carpeting and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. The catering kitchen is located at one end of the Community Room. For smaller events, this space can be divided into two rooms—Room 301 and Room 302—with a drop down wall.
Webcrafters - Frautsci Foundation Conference Room
The Conference Room is a preset room on the 1st Floor of the Library, making it easily accessible for your guests. The space is equipped with a TV, whiteboard and seating for up to 15 people with additional chairs around the room. this is an ideal space for private meetings and community groups alike.

What is the guest capacity?
Maximum capacity of our spaces will depend on your desired room setup. For example with lecture style seating we can accommodate up to 220 guests.
What is the cost to rent the space?
Fees are determined by the room rented and length of the event. Download the fee sheet for details.
What is included in my rental?
All rentals include tables, chairs, easels, wireless internet, 2 coat racks, podium, set up, and take down.
What kind of audio visual is available?
Built-in 3rd floor sound system Wireless microphones 3 wall projectors- 1 large and 2 smaller in the Community Room 2 wall mounted televisions in the Community Room
What do we need to bring?
Laptop, VGA/HDMI cord, dry erase markers, push pins, strip plugs, extension cords
