Kayla is the Wanda Fullmore intern at Sequoya Library. She is a senior this year at James Madison Memorial High School. Her favorite part about working at the library is working with kids. Part of her internship is helping out with Wild Rumpus at Haen Family Park, where as many as 135 kids and their families participate. Kayla also helps with many other kids programs at Sequoya, such as Hopscotch-a-thon. Her internship experience has taught her patience and that she is a very determined person, “once my mind is set on something, I don’t stop until it’s done”. After visiting a funeral home with her church, Kayla asked many questions and decided in the future she wants to be a funeral home director.
