Tours and Special Programs

If you have a group that is interested in a tour of one of the Madison Public libraries or a special preschool storytime, school-age program or program on sharing books with children, please call the Youth Services Department at 266-6345.

Preschool storytimes feature books, stories, songs, fingerplays & activities and last 30 minutes.

Preschool storytimes can:

• Get kids excited about books and reading!
• Help to teach essential pre-reading skills such as sequencing, shape identification and left-to-right eye tracking.
• Expand the child's vocabulary.
• Help to develop motor skills and coordination.
• Help kids exercise their minds.
