Come to any Madison Public Library location to pick up your Summer Reading Sketchbook, or register online and download the booklet to log your summer reading. Every book or hour your child reads (or is read to) counts. Earn great prizes, available beginning June 19.
Preschoolers and Elementary Schoolers: Prizes include stickers, coupons for pizza from Rocky Rococo's, tickets to Mallards Baseball games, coupons for free noodles from Noodles & Company, and even a free book!

Summer Passport Program Kick-Off Event
Wednesday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center (1 John Nolen Drive)
The Madison Children's Activity Passport Program is a collaborative media piece featuring entertainment, hands-on fun, and learning for kids and their families all summer long! The Monona Terrace is hosting the Kick-Off event, which will feature six different activity stations forchildren aged 4 - 8 offered by the participants in the Summer Passport program. Presented by the Madison Children's Museum, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA), the UW Geology Museum, the Wisconsin Historical Museum, the Madison Public Library - Central Branch, UW Space Place, and Monona Terrace. Be Creative Concert & Picnic
Tuesday, August 4, 6:30 p.m. at Olbrich Botanical Gardens (3330 Atwood Avenue)
Pack a picnic supper and head to the Gardens for a fun-filled family concert. Come rain or shine at 6:30 p.m. to find the hidden artists and play with bubbles. At 7:00 p.m., David Landau will get you singing and laughing while you munch!
Summer Library Carnival!
Tuesday, August 11, 10:30 a.m. at the Overture Center for the Arts (201 State Street) and the Central Library
Celebrate reading at this event co-sponsored by the Overture Center for the Arts and the Madison Public Library. Enjoy the magical and comedic stylings of Miller & Mike during a performance at 10:30 a.m. at Overture. At 11:15, go next door to the Central Library for carnival games, crafts and more!

A reading castle picture will be hidden at every Madison Public Library location from May 18 to June 30. Be on the lookout when you visit! If you spot the picture, tell the librarian where it is hidden, and you will get a prize!
Pick up a Favoreads or Teen's Choice packet at any Madison Public Library location beginning June 1 and start reading. Come to the Library's Book Chats for pizza, pop and a chance to convince other readers to vote for your favorites from these two summer booklists. No minimum reading required. Vote online, in the library, or come to the Favoreads & Teen Choice Awards Ceremony on Friday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sequoya Library - cake and fizzy beverages will be served. Register for events in advance.
