Madison Public Library works together with a variety of educational and community agencies in Madison and Dane County.

Madison Community Foundation has supported the Madison Public Library for many years through capital and program grants. Most recently, the Madison Community Foundation provided funding for the children's area at the new Sequoya Branch and contributed toward two special collections at the Alicia Ashman and Lakeview Branch libraries. |

Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) has partnered extensively with the Library to provide their customers with energy efficiency information. See their library partnership web site, our Sustaining Our Lives list of books and videos donated by MGE, rent a Portable Energy Meter, or browse brochures on energy use at the library or online. |

Literacy Network (formerly Madison Area Literacy Council) partners with the Library in several ways. Volunteer tutors and learners often meet in the library, and learners can take advantage of several computers with language software pre-loaded in order to work through language lessons on their own. The library has a collection of materials for adult learners as well. Find out about the volunteer tutor drive this fall. |

Madison Public Library partners with the Internal Revenue Service and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue to provide tax forms to customers in the Madison Area from January-April of every year. The library also partners with several local agencies to provide tax assistance during tax season. |

Knupp & Watson created a free television ad for the Library and the Madison Public Library Foundation in October 2008 as part of their Goodstock program to benefit Dane County nonprofit organizations.
