Madison Public Library Home ServiceHome Service

Madison Public Library's Home Service program supplies books to individuals at home who are unable to use the library due to an ongoing physical condition, as well as Retirement Homes and Assisted Living, Health Care and Adult Day Care Facilities.

Individuals

Who is Eligible?
Anyone living within Madison City limits who has an ongoing physical condition that prevents the person from coming to the library and is willing to commit to having this service for an extended period of time.

How it Works:

What Can You Borrow?
Books--Including Best Sellers.
Large Print Books--With print twice the regular size and a large selection of titles.
Books-on-Cassette
Compact Discs
Magazines

Videos and dvds cannot be borrowed due to the demand and short loan period.

Volunteer Your Time

Home Service is looking for volunteers who are interested in delivering library materials to homebound individuals as well as choosing appropriate library materials for these individuals. See job descriptions. If interested, you can fill out volunteer application and mail to Madison Public Library Home Service, 201 West Mifflin St., Madison, WI 53703.
