Newspaper Articles
Local and national newspaper articles are now available at Newspaper Source Plus by way of the newly expanded EBSCOhost database. To search only newspapers, go here. If you're also interested in searching magazines and all that the new EBSCO has to offer, go here, and start scrolling down the EBSCOhost menu of choices to fine tune a magazine search or get help on automobile repair, career advice, choosing a new novel, and much more.
Use Newspaper Source Plus to locate articles on a variety of topics from local or national newspapers. While you're at it, check out EBSCO's New Features to enhance your search.
At this time, Newspaper Source Plus does not include any of the Capital Times archive. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please know that we are currently working to rectify the matter.
However, NewsBank offers access to articles from The Capital Times (1989-present), The Wisconsin State Journal (1989-present) and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (1990-present).
If you're looking for newspaper information after 1852 and before 1978, check Newspaper Archive. It includes close to 30 million scanned pages. Not all newspapers and dates are represented, but it's certainly worth a look.

Other Wisconsin and National newspapers are kept at the State Historical Society Library or the Memorial Library on the University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus.
Classifieds
The Central Library of Madison Public Library keeps paper classifieds on file of all the papers it receives. In addition, many current classifieds can be located online on a specific newspaper's web site. To locate classified ads in a specific newspaper or all newspapers in a geographic region, try our recommended newspaper sites.
