Example 1: I would like to work on improving my test-taking skills overall. Is there a way to practice things like fractions, decimals and grammar?

 

From the front page of Learning Express, browse on the right side of the page under ‘Featured Resources’. You will find links for Math Skills Improvement, Reading and Writing Skills Improvement as well as a basic Skills Improvement option.

 

Click on the Skills Improvement Courses for example.

 

From here, you will find options for fundamentals of writing or grammar as well as math, reading comprehension, spelling and vocabulary.

 

If you click on the link for Fundamentals of Writing 5: Editing, you will be taken to the instruction page for this exam. This page tells you that the exam will take approximately 2-2 ½ hours to complete. To begin the exam, click on the red Practice Now button on the left side of the page.

 

You will be asked to sign-in as a new user or returning user. After you are logged in, you may begin the practice exam.

You will be given the course overview and a brief outline. Click on Next when you are ready.

 

There will be some teaching pages that explore the various lessons in this course. Click through the pages when you are finished.

 

Complete the practice pages and submit your test.

 

Your results will be tabulated instantly and you can move on to the next practice test. As you move through the lessons and practice tests, the Course Outline on the left side of the page will reflect what has been completed.
