Example 2: Can I find a list of heirs for Abraham Lincoln, the former President of the United States?

From the first screen, click on Search Census.

From the Search Census screen, fill in the Surname field with “ Lincoln” and the Given Name field with “Abraham”. Then click search.

This produces a list of Census results by year. Click on the 1860 Census.

You will get a listing of Census Records for men named Abraham Lincoln. Look for the record from Springfield, Illinois. Click on the link or check the box to the left of the record to save to the Notebook function.

This gives you the actual census image with a list of heirs for Abraham Lincoln in 1860. You can choose to print or download.
