Whether you are just beginning family research or have spent years tracing your history, HeritageQuest Online has a wealth of genealogy data.

What is HeritageQuest Online?

HeritageQuest online is a ProQuest product that contains more than 25,000 family and local histories. Search Census Records from 1790 – 1930, Revolutionary War Era Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application files and Persi ™, the Periodical Source Index, which is the largest and most respected index in its field. View original page images for all documents from the convenience of home or at the library.

How do I access HeritageQuest Online?

Anyone with a LINK library card and access to the Internet can use HeritageQuest Online. Access the database here or follow the link to the Online Databases page in LINKcat.

Next, enter your full library card number without the spaces.

The HeritageQuest Online main page will come up.

Click on one of the “Search” options and you are ready to go.

What can I use HeritageQuest Online for?

Search for information about ancestors or relatives as well as information about towns, cities and regions. HeritageQuest Online makes searching easy. Perform basic or advanced searches on available census materials and publications, including magazines and books. Access scanned census images to view pages of census data and then view or download scanned images of the documents.

Print, email or download the information that you need.

How do I save or print records?

Print, email or download by checking the boxes by records. This adds records to the “Notebook.” By clicking on the “Notebook” tab, you will see a list of the records that you have chosen and then you can decide to view image, download in Adobe PDF format or print.
