Example 2: Can I find a list of African American scientists who lived in New York?

From the front page of AABD, click on the Search box on the left hand side of the page.

From the Search Options page, click on the Search Profiles link.

From the Biographical Profile Search page, fill in the City/County field and find Scientist in the Occupations field. Then click on the search button.

This gives you a list with 9 records of scientists that lived in New York City. To view the profiles of the individual scientists, click on the name links. To view all of the profiles on one page, click on the open boxes next to the records, then click the View Profile box. To email these records to yourself, click on the open boxes next to the records, then click on the @ sign to left of the box. These records will be added to your list of selected records.

You can continue to research these scientists by following any links that might be in each individual record.
