Example 1: I am interested in finding out more about African American astronauts. How can I find out more information?

From the front page of AABD, click on the Search box on the left hand side of the page.

From the Search Options page, click on the Search Profiles link.

From the Biographical Profile Search page, search for astronauts in the Occupations field. Then click on the search button.

This gives you a list with one name, Mae Jemison. To view the profile of this person, click on the open box next to the record and then click on the View Profile box. To email this record to yourself, keep the box next to the record checked, then click on the @ sign to the left of the box. This record will be added to your list of selected records.

You can continue to research this person by clicking on the Web Site Biography link, or print out the information you have found.
