We Get Around
You probably know that our librarians offer great service and fun classes in our nine libraries, but did you know that we also visit neighborhood festivals and area events?
This June, our librarians visited the Madison Children's Museum on Twilight Wednesday, the Henry Vilas Zoo for Wisconsin Public Radio's first Kids' Day at the Zoo, and Nuestra Fiesta. We registered residents for library cards, signed kids up for summer reading club, checked out books, offered kid-friendly activities, and heard lots of great "library stories" from families. We even answered a few reference questions!
Our youth services librarians also visited 36 schools to present our annual summer reading club to 13,344 children aged 5-11 in May and June.
If you'd like the library to be part of your neighborhood celebration, call your local library!
