Summer Reading Club Underway
Our Summer Reading Club promotes the joy of recreational reading and prevents summer learning loss. It's easy to join and your kids can continue reading all summer while earning prizes for participation. Older kids and teens can join Teen Reads, log their reading online, and earn prizes or read toward a community goal. Last year more than 6,400 Madison kids and teens participated in these annual summer-long events.
Kids: Sign up online, print out your World of Reading passport and get started. Or, visit your local library to sign up in person (kids love writing their own names on our simple registration forms). Prizes include: free area attraction passes (Madison Mallards game, Olbrich Gardens Blooming Butterflies exhibit, Wisconsin Historic Sites and Museums); free food coupons (Rocky Rococo Pizza and Noodles); crafts; and a free book. Daycare providers and preschool or summer camp teachers can sign their children up for Group Summer Reading Club.
Teens: Sign up online and start logging your books.
A special thank you to our corporate and nonprofit sponsors who help make Summer Reading Club and Teen Reads successful.
