Save the Date for Conversation and Cocktails 2009!

Alicia

In 2008, the Madison Public Library Foundation introduced Conversation and Cocktails, an evening of informal discussion and a few drinks with a well-known and respected community member, as a new opportunity for supporters to benefit Foundation programs and activities for the Madison Public Library.

This year’s event, to be held on Saturday, October 24, 5 - 7 p.m. at the Sundance Cinema Bar Bistro (403 N. Midvale Blvd.), welcomes guest speaker Michael Feldman of the NPR radio show “Whad’Ya Know?” Anyone familiar with Michael’s work knows to expect the unexpected when this clever humorist takes the microphone.

Tickets for this intimate event are $75 per person. Sponsorship options begin at $100, and many include preferred seating and additional tickets to the event. Those interested in becoming sponsors should contact the Madison Public Library Foundation prior to August 15. Proceeds from this year’s Conversation and Cocktails will benefit the operation of the Foundation, as well as grants that the Foundation makes annually to the Madison Public Library for resources and programs.

Please contact the Foundation’s Executive Director, Terrie Goren (266-6318, mplfoundation@cityofmadison.com), with any questions or requests for additional information, and to request invitation information when it becomes available.
