On Monday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m there will be a presentation to Common Council members about the Block 66 Redevelopment, which includes a new Central Library. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Madison Municipal Building. This is a chance for the Council members to hear more about the proposed redevelopment and ask questions of the developers and the Library.
Find the current status of the project on the library’s web page or at the Fiore Companies’ web site, or read two recent articles by Dean Mosiman about the library in the Wisconsin State Journal (published Monday, July 6, 2009): New Central Library Would Boost Madison’s Image, Economic Development, Proponents Say and The Old Gray Library, She Ain’t What She Used to Be.
