UW-Madison Go Big Read Book Announced

Alicia

This coming Fall, the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites students, staff and faculty, as well as community members, to participate in the university’s very first campus-wide common book program, Go Big Read. Participants will read Michael Pollan’s In Defense of Food, which will be integrated into courses for the fall semester, and have the opportunity to participate in book discussions and events sponsored by the UW and the community. Pollan will be visiting campus September 24 - 26 for a series of events.

At least 5 Madison Public Library locations will host book discussions beginning in August and will have books readily available at those libraries in advance of the discussion. Check our book discussions page for dates and times.

Read our reviews of In Defense of Food and The Omnivore’s Dilemma on our MADreads blog. Find a copy of In Defense of Food at your local library. Also available in large print, on CD, and as an Overdrive Downloadable Audiobook. See all books by Michael Pollan available through Madison Public Library.
