As a MMSD elementary school teacher I have just been introduced to the audio books by PLAYAWAY. It’s so nice to see the Madison Community Foundation supporting copies. First question, is there a way to be provided with listings of all the juvenille literature that is available in this format for lending from our library system? We could reach so many children to benefit if teachers could plan and support this technology with a hands on copy of the book as well.

Cindy, you’re right, these are great resources for children, and the pre-loaded device makes them easy to use in a classroom. You can see a full list of Playaway titles for children and teens by searching LINKcat. Click on Children’s (to the right of basic search) and type in playaway in the Children’s KEY WORD field. Right now we have 217 Playaway items loaded with children’s literature titles.
