Kids Can Vote, Too!
include("adsense.php"); ?>Okay, so maybe you’re not of legal age to cast a ballot on November 4, but there are other ways to
have your voice heard in the upcoming election! Celebrate the USA with our selection of books and websites about your right to vote and the electoral process, learn about the candidates and the issues, and vote in a mock election.
Want to cast a ballot for something right here in Madison? The Madison Children’s Museum has a Polling Place exhibit, where kids can learn about and take part in the democratic process. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote on future exhibits and art installations at the future home of MCM, and test potential exhibits in the Experimental Gallery.

I think it would be cool for kids to vote. However, I think it wouldn’t be good. I think that the voting age is already to young. I think it should be raised to a least 25 years of age. I also believe that you must be American, own land, and have a job and/or married to someone who has a job.

i think kids should only be allowed to vote if they know why they want that person to win.some kids just say they want someone to win because their family or friends want the preson to win.some kids have no idea about the person they are wanting to win.KIDS SHOULD VOTE!

i would LOVE to vote for Barrack Obama. he is someone this country really needs at this point in time. he really will bring “the change we need”.
15. brittany | November 4th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
I think kids should be able to vote because adults aren’t the only people who know about politics, It is the same as the other person who said this. Kids under 18 HAVE A VOCIE AND WANNA BE HEARD. When obama becomes presidant I will send him a letter in the mail and ask for the rights for kids to vote but only kids 13- and older.
16. TJ | November 4th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
Kids should get a word to say about the election. Now I now we are not at leagle age but… we are all still U.S. citizen’s. I belive that the Government should hold a “Kid Election Day”. Now they shouldn’t count it but jus look at how we the kid’s of the greate United States of America feel.

I think kids should definetly vote, but it should be optional. That way, if a kid really doesn’t want to vote they won’t have to.
21. Jenna Alexa | November 20th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
I think kids should vote because it will no only leave a impression to the canadates to also inclued the kids more but also gett hem into the prosses of voting.
22. sarah | December 19th, 2008 at 2:14 pm

i want to vote i mean kids have ideas to and we should be able to express them. i would vote for JOHN MCAIN
25. Robert | January 22nd, 2009 at 8:43 pm
I really dont get #4 responce cause if the president makes the law 25 yrs old, kids will have to wait longer to vote…..most kids want to vote bellow age 25 yrs old(or 18 yrs), lets say 10 yrs old, that is a better age to vote, so kids don’t have to wait longer!
(:

31. brittany | April 17th, 2009 at 3:41 pm
Yes I think we should be able to vote. We have alot of good ideas. Whe we are young we have great ideas that we want to contribute too. But no will ever listen. Our ideas sometime could make our america a better place. It could also help the economy. When we get older those ideas fade away and we will never remember. I think we should be able to vote. I mean come on OBAMA for president. His ideas were wack. I mean look at what he gave to the QUEEN… self obsorbed much. And the 1st lady touched the queen. WAY wrong. Come one please people listen to kids for once..remember we are the future and what we say also count..at least for something

Hi!
Well, on the note of kids voting, i think both. Kids do have voices, and our opinions matter. And yes, our opinions could make America a better and fairer place. Sometimes, we can see things others cannot, and we know what is good for us. However, can’t our parents influence our opinions with a simple raise of our allowance? I’m just saying, if kids should be able to vote, we should be trusted with only listening to our own opinions and knowing what is good for ourselves, without our parents involved. By now tho, Obama is president, so this is really about kids voting, and how. This student vote thing is awesome, and helps our voices be heard.
