Visit a Firehouse, Learn About Fire Safety
October is Fire Prevention Month and you can visit your local City firehouse to learn more about fire safety on Saturday, October 11, from 9-11 a.m.
The City of Madison Fire Department encourages everyone to take simple steps to ensure home safety:
- Check your smoke detectors each month – Change the batteries when you change your clocks.
- Make an escape plan for emergencies and make sure everyone knows the plan.
- Practice your plan at home.
