I am very unhappy about the results on the referendum for the library expansion. We desperately need this expansion, and it will only cost more in the long run. Now would have been the perfect time to start the expansion as it would have provided jobs and the overall costs would have been lower now than in the future.

The Library is key to the Town of Madison and this expansion just has to be done.

    Nathalie,

Thanks for your interest, but I’m a little unclear about your comment. There is no referendum for Madison Public Library, but there is a Request For Proposal (RFP) to accept bids to build a Central Library for Madison.

Perhaps you’re referring to the Fitchburg Library referenda, one of which passed, or the referendum to build a new Cottage Grove library, which did not pass?
