Vintage Cars at the Central Library!
include("adsense.php"); ?>
If you read the local papers, you’ll be aware of the buzz surrounding the possible filming of the new movie, Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp. Both the Isthmus and the Wisconsin State Journal, as well as radio ads, have reported there will be a representative for the movie at the Overture Center on Sunday, January 27 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. who will be selecting vintage cars, trucks and buses from the 1930 - 1935 period to be used in the film. Vehicles are to be parked on West Mifflin Street, right outside the Central Library!
At Central, we’re anticipating some neat viewing opportunities outside our building between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. this Sunday (we’re open 1 - 5 p.m. on Sundays through the end of April). Bring the car enthusiast in your family over for a visit. And if your “vintage” car isn’t quite that old, but needs some repair, stop in and check out our auto manual collection or our Mitchell’s OnDemand Repair database, the same product used by local auto repair shops.
But be prepared to park in one of the City lots since the on-street parking will be limited!
