Yesterday, among the holiday sale flyers and late Christmas cards, I found my copy of Sequels, the Madison Public Library Foundation’s donor newsletter.

Because the demands for library services and the needs and opportunities facing the library are growing much faster than the public funds available to support them, the goal of the Foundation is to enrich, not replace, traditional tax-based support through private fund-raising from individuals, businesses and foundations. If you’re looking for a last minute tax break, a late holiday gift, or want to thank the library for another year of books, movies, research assistance, programs, and internet service, please consider a donation to the Foundation. You’ll see your name in print in the next issue of Sequels!
