City Budget Provides for Libraries 2006 Annual Report

Introducing City Connection

Tana

crosscountryski.jpgThere’s a Snow Emergency today, but your local library plans to be open regular hours!

Why?  We’re a city agency, and follow the City’s policy of staying open unless drastic weather conditions require us to close early.  But please drive safely on your way to or from the library today.

Since we’re a City agency and in the business of information, we routinely get questions on all aspects of City government.  We pass out Recyclopedias and Metro schedules, we sell appliance recycling stickers, we host City listening sessions, and we receive and keep copies of many City planning documents that aren’t on the internet.  To celebrate that connection, we’re starting a new category of this blog - City Connection.  Look for a posting each week featuring a City service or City information our customers routinely ask about.

header.gifThis week’s City Connection features - appropriately - the Winter Weather page featuring information about City weather policies, how to receive email alerts when the Streets Department declares a Snow Emergency, how to report a snow or ice problem in your neighborhood, and ice-skating and cross-country skiing locations in the City.  Stay warm and safe!
