Anne Enright’s Irish family epic The Gathering has been awarded England’s Man Booker Prize for best fiction. The story of nine surviving children of the Hegarty clan gathered in Dublin for the wake of their wayward brother, The Gathering explores family secrets, betrayal and redemption.
