Time of Day (831-4141)
As many of you have discovered, the telephone listings in the Madison telephone directory for Time of Day and Weather information are no longer accurate. If you dial the number, you get a recording indicating that the service isn’t available.
Try 831-4141, a new number from TDS that gives the current time and the weather on the westside of Madison.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I used to call the 255-1234 number all the time. To set watches, clocks, computers and it was instrumental for me at work. It has been driving me up the wall that this number no longer works and I keep hoping for a replacement. (I have been using an official time website, but one is not always at a computer when one needs the correct time.)
I have just added the 831-4141 into my home phone and cell phone and it will go into my work phone on Monday.
See, a seemingly little thing can totally make someone’s day!!!

No, but you’ll have to listen to a brief advertisement for TDS first! The number is still good as of today.
