Looking for something to do with your kids as a family? The library has a monthly newsletter, Library Kids, which offers reviews of 5-7 books, program information, and recommended web sites or family information. Subscribe now, and you’ll be notified as soon as we finalize our Summer Library Program information and make it available on our web site. This year’s theme revolves around mysteries - Get a Clue at Your Library! Subscribe online or request that a library staff member add your email address to the list.
We know of another great enewsletter, too - Family Friendly Events, maintained by Selwyn Swe. This weekly email and corresponding web page lists family-friendly events in the Dane County area. Selwyn says, “I believe it is important that we seek out opportunities to share meaningful experiences with our kids — events that will give us a chance to learn, share, and connect as families. The big challenge is finding these family events. I spend a bit of time every week surfing the web for significant interaction opportunities for my family in the Madison, Wisconsin area. Instead of keeping what I find to myself, I might as well post it online in hopes that you can benefit too.” We can’t thank you enough, Selwyn! (Subscription information is available at the web site.)
