Kids Coding

This spring, your kids can get their creative juices flowing by participating in these technology and design programs at the Madison Public Library. Whether they're interested in designing their own game, making exciting inventions or learning to code, these programs will give them the space to express themselves and develop skills for the future!

Game Design with Nate (Grades 4-6)
Join us at Central Library on Wednesday, January 11th, from 3:30pm-5:00pm for this Bubbler Jr. event! Kids will have the chance to work with a professional game designer to make their own video game using Scratch. They will be able to share their game with friends and family, as well as work on them after the workshop at home. If you would like to gain even more design skills, a second workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 25th, from 3:30-5:00pm. Keep an eye out for many more game design events at the library throughout the spring.

Maker Monday
Explore hands-on artistic, creative and techy tools for building, creating, and playing with a different focus each week. Join us for this workshop on Monday, January 23rd, at Pinney Library from 2:30PM-3:30PM or at Sequoya Library from 3:00PM-4:00PM. (There will be a special guest Bubbler artist at the Sequoya event!) Flex your tinkering brain muscles with new inventions, problems, and puzzles. Drop in and stay as long as you like. This event is for kids ages 7-12, and supervised younger siblings are welcome. You can also join us at these additional Maker Mondays throughout the spring:
