Camp MAD Media

Calling all educators...Looking for a fun way to learn new skills, increase your digital literacy, and play around with tools that can enhance student learning this summer? Join us for Camp MAD Media, a free, hands-on digital "summer camp" just for educators!

In partnership with WeThinkBig, a local non-profit supporting education innovation, the Madison Public Library will be offering a series of six different 2-hour sessions. Camps will run Tues/Wed/Thurs mornings, June 20-29 from 9:30am-11:30am at Central Library. Here, educators will build skills in multi-media areas that enhance K-12 teaching and learning. In each session, educators and librarians will be introduced to media tools and will explore simple activities and techniques they can use with students, ranging from stop-motion animation to coding in the classroom. At the end of each session educators will reflect and share insights about how these new skills can expand classroom practice and strengthen student learning.
