Mo Willems does it again!

A review of Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator by Mo Willems

Mo Willems, who has charmed us all with pigeons, bunnies and elephants, turns to a funny little alligator for his latest book. Willems's illustrations are spot-on and full of life. It’s amazing to see how he can capture such a broad range of emotion with just a few simple lines!

In Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator! we get 6 -- no make that 6 ½ -- silly tales that continually surprise and amuse. Amanda likes to spend her day with her nose in a favorite library book, while Alligator would prefer to spend his day with his mouth on a library book... or Amanda’s head, which tastes better than a book. From Alligator’s “Old Thinking Cap” to Amanda’s many surprises, kids and adults alike will be grinning from ear to ear. So, if you’re anything like Amanda, you should run off to the library to pick up this book, and if you’re anything like Alligator you should put on your thinking cap and get ready for a BIG SURPRISE!

Trent, thanks for a great review.  Our 10 and 6 year old children loved this book, it was a fun read aloud multiple times, with our kids noticing different funny parts of the illustrations with each read.
