Book lovers mark your calendars

include("adsense.php"); ?>The 6th annual Wisconsin Book Festival is coming up soon and it looks to be a great one, as usual for this high quality Madison based festival. This year the festival has a theme: Domestic Tranquility. This ties in with the More Perfect Union discussion series, which is structured around phrases in the preamble to the Constitution. Look for more information on this discussion series later this year, it will be held at the Central Library, from February to May.
Two of the authors featured in the MPU discussions will be at the Book Festival: T.C. Boyle, author of Tortilla Curtain and Louis Alberto Urrea, author of The Devil’s Highway: A True Story. There are many other well known writers in attendance as well. A few to note are: Terry Tempest Williams, Rick Bass and Michael Cunningham. More information will be available soon on the festival site. There will also be poetry, Wisconsin authors, and programs for children and families.
Madison Public Library Central library will again be a festival venue and we will also have festival information and schedules on our website.
The festival dates this year are October 10-14 and as in the past, it will take place in and around downtown Madison. Don’t miss this great festival and the wonderful opportunity to hear serious authors discuss their work and current events.
