Was history this interesting in high school? If you only read one zombie novel this year…

I know clowns are creepy, but snowmen?

Jane J. - Central Library

In the latest mystery by mother/daughter writing team P. J. Tracy, murders happen, but it’s the way in which they happen that truly surprises.

Snow Blind brings the focus of their series (which has moved between Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota) back to Minneapolis which is experiencing a belated first big snow snow1.gifstorm.  A good thing since the snow has arrived just in time for a snowman making contest.  On hand is detective Gino Rolseth, unwillingly pressed into participating and judging, and his partner Leo Magozzi who’s there to lend moral support.  The fun and games end when they realize one of the snowmen has been shaped around a dead body.  With kids screaming and the press watching, the detectives are living a PR nightmare.  The hundreds of snowmen have to be knocked down and when they are, a second body is discovered.
The Tracy team hasn’t disappointed me yet.  Suspense, wonderful characterizations and physical description that can’t be beat.  If you haven’t read any of the books yet, you might want to start with Monkeewrench, but I predict that once you have, you’ll be reading Snow Blind (book four) within a month.
