Pinney Library Campaign Kickoff

The Madison Public Library Foundation took another step toward its vision of providing outstanding public libraries throughout Madison when it launched the $2.5 million Capital Campaign for a New Pinney Library on Giving Tuesday, December 1, with a day-long fund drive and a family friendly Kickoff Party at the Harmony Bar & Grill - where $15,000 was raised.

Throughout the day on Giving Tuesday, the foundation invited the public to make a donation to the Pinney campaign to maximize the $50,000 challenge grant from Lau & Bea Christensen and Madison Gas & Electric Foundation. Donations are matched dollar for dollar, making the grand total for Giving Tuesday $30,000!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support public libraries in our community. Your contributions really do make a difference.
