Holding Space Bringing the Moon and Mars to Madison

Holding Space Bringing the Moon and Mars to Madison

Meeting Rooms A & B Combined, Sequoya Library
01/30/2018
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

For many years our focus as a nation was to put a human on the Moon. Currently scientists and explorers have their eyes on Mars. Come learn about the Apollo moon landing missions, the Mars Rover missions, and the importance of putting humans on Mars in this 45 minute presentation!

Also the UW Geology Museum, in partnership with NASA, is collecting stories from people in the community who might remember experiencing the moon landings (through TV, radio, etc.) If you would like to share your story with us, we will be bringing audio recording equipment to preserve your experience after the presentation!

Light refreshments will be served.

Finally, the UW Geology Museum would love to share our museum with you by giving a free, space-centric tour on February 6 from 1:30-2:30 pm to the first 25 people to register. So, please, take a journey with us through history and space!

Call Candice at the West Madison Senior Center to make reservations, 2238-7368, ext 8.

This program is brought to you by the West Madison Senior Center, the UW Madison Geology Museum, and Madison Public Library.
