Gay and Lesbian Pride Month , June

In June of 2000, Bill Clinton deemed the month of June, "Gay and Lesbian Pride Month." The month was chosen to remember a 1969 riot at the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan. This month is now the month of acceptance. Many communities celebrate with Pride Events including parades and festivals.
